The Organisational Transformation Network is led by Director of the Institute for Public Safety, Crime and Justice at the University of Northampton, Laura Knight, and Assistant Chief Constable Rachel Swann of Northants Police.
This network provides insight into a series of topics related to organisational transformation within the police and other emergency services. Areas of focus include demand management, measuring successful transformation, coaching, and Special Constables.
The Organisational Transformation Network will deliver the following projects:
Evaluation of coaching in police performance improvement
Aims: Evaluating the impact of ‘coaching’ training and use as a tool in change management and transition.
Skills and Confidence Survey of Special Constables in the East Midlands
Aims: This project seeks to assess the skills and confidence to use skills across Specials in the East Midlands.
Digital Evidence in the East Midlands
Aims: To explore how a more efficient and effective approach to, and use of, digital materials can be achieved.
Aims: To evidence how taking a systems thinking approach to process improvement, demand can effectively be measured, reduced and managed.
Research questions include measuring demand in the Force Control Room, and the key variables (internal and external).
