Academic mentors:

Dr Matej Blazek and Dr Karen Lumsden (Loughborough University)

This project investigates the extent of modern slavery and human trafficking in Leicestershire, and where the police response sits in relation to multi-agency partnership working.

The research seeks to improve the exchange of information between police and other agencies, in particular, non-governmental organisations (NGOs).

The project will provide recommendations for improving communication between police and NGOs in Leicestershire in order to address modern slavery.
